Register with Te Mana via YourIwi

 

We invite all Ngāti Rangitihi to register with Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Trust. As a member you can:

  • Apply to Te Mana o Ngāti Rangitihi Charitable Trust for funding support
  • Get hunting access to the Kaingaroa and Rotoehu forests through a recreational access permit
  • Visit Waimangu Volcanic Valley for free any day of the year (pre-bookings required through Te Mana)
  • Vote in Trustee elections
  • Vote to ratify our Deed of Settlement
  • Access to YourIwi – an online tool that enables you to update your details and access pānui.

Validating Your Whakapapa

Your application will be validated if you can whakapapa to the tupuna Rangiaohia and Rakauheketara, through the tupuna Mahi and Rangitihikahira. If you are having difficulty with your whakapapa please contact the Trust Office on 07 322 2452.

Accessing Your Records

There is restricted access to the Iwi Register – it is a taonga and includes whakapapa which the Trust does not have authority to release. No iwi organisation or government agency has the ability to release this information.

Any individual iwi member may, however, access a copy of their own information by contacting the Trust’s Office Manager who will supply the information in either electronic form or by post. Registered adult members may also visit the office to view the list of names of other registered adult members. This right is only to look at the register of names and does not extend to taking a copy of, or otherwise recording, any names.

What is YourIwi?

YourIwi is an online tool designed for iwi to maintain a secure tribal register and connect with members.

By registering Ngāti Rangitihi members will each get a personal dashboard where you can see:

  • Messages from the Trust
  • News and pānui
  • Scholarship and grant opportunities
  • Settlement mahi

You can send your own private messages to the Trust through YourIwi, and we can respond directly to you. Your data is secure, and you can update your details yourself at any time.

Already registered with Te Mana and want to use YourIwi.com?

If you already have your email address registered with Te Mana, over the coming weeks you will receive an email from YourIwi, which will give you unique login details. From there, you can set up your personalised account.

If Te Mana doesn’t have an email address for you, you will receive an information pack in the mail with instructions on how to set up your personalised YourIwi account. This will include a member ID and password for registration.
