Tēnā koutou e te whānau!

We have heard this week, in the Government’s announcements on the situation as the country unites to fight COVID-19, that the efforts of all people across Aotearoa are making a difference. We thank you all, ngā uri o Ngāti Rangitihi, for contributing to this.

We want to take the time to check in on you, whānau, and invite you to join a live Q&A on Facebook with D’Arcy Stoneham, our Te Mana office administrator and part of the team who have been working very hard to ensure our kaumātua have the support they need at the moment.

When: Wednesday 8 April, 11am – 11.30am.
Where: Te Mana Facebook page – www.facebook.com/ngatirangitihi/

While it’s not quite ‘kanohi ki te kanohi’, live video is a great way to interact and share ideas, so please join us in an informal kōrero.

We will be using this time to tell you about some of the support available, especially for kaumātua and those at risk, and how you can help. (Note, more kai will delivered in coming weeks, so please get in touch with us via this form here if you, or someone you know, are in need of support!)

If you have a question or an idea to contribute at the Q&A, email us at info@ngatirangitihi.iwi.nz today and we’ll do our best to answer during the session. You can also interact while we are live too, so don’t be shy!

He waka eke noa – We are all in this together. We want to do everything we can for our Iwi to ensure you have the support you need, and feel safe right now.

Engaging and sharing through digital channels is more and more important now to help us with stay connected with each other, so over the coming days we will be sharing some interesting and fun activities iwi members are doing during their time in lockdown. If you would like to share your experience please send to us at info@ngatirangitihi.iwi.nz or via Facebook messenger. We would love to hear from you.

Ngā mihi whānau!
