Tēnā koutou Ngāti Rangitihi whānui,

The Ngāti Rangitihi Deed of Settlement signing ceremony is officially taking place tomorrow! This day has been years in the making and will be a significant occasion and one where we can acknowledge all our whānau who have supported us through this incredibly important kaupapa.

For me, I look forward to continuing to see Ngāti Rangitihi flourish well into the future. It is a settlement for us, our tamariki and mokopuna, and their tamariki and mokopuna to come.

We have felt the excitement building throughout this week and we cannot wait to share this special day with you all.

We are very fortunate to be able to safely hold this event in 2020 despite the COVID-19 pandemic, and we ask that you please do your part by practising good hygiene on the day and if you feel unwell, please keep your whānau safe by staying home.

A reminder of the official programme for the day:

10.00: First pōwhiri (Ngāti Rangitihi and neighbouring iwi who have travelled to be here)

11.30am: Second pōwhiri (Government officials, Government entities and local Councils)

1.00pm: Signing of the Deed of Settlement

2.00pm: Kai

We are incredibly proud of how far our Iwi has come and we look forward to celebrating this momentous occasion with you tomorrow.
