Join us at our Whānau Day, Sunday 16 August at Rangitihi Marae!

It will be a great opportunity to get together and share kōrero and kai. There will be plenty of activities to keep tamariki entertained as well.

We encourage you to also bring along your old photos of Ngāti Rangitihi moments and share stories with whānau!

For those who are travelling from afar, who want to stay overnight at the Marae on Saturday 15 August, prior to our Whānau Day, registration is required. Email: info@ngatirangitihi.iwi.nz.

If you decide to stay overnight, the programme for Saturday is:

  • 4pm: Powhiri for whānau staying overnight
  • 6pm: Ngāti Rangitihi Historical Account with Anthony Olsen (open to all whānau)

Programme for the Whānau Day on Sunday is:

  • 9.30am: Powhiri
  • 10.00am: Bouncy castles and kids activities & whakapapa session
  • 12.00pm: Hākari
  • 1.00pm: Deed of Settlement Ratification – Information Hui

The YourIwi team will also be attending to help whānau register, use the tool and answer any of your pātai on this.

Note: Our Matatā Deed of Settlement Ratification Information Hui will also take place on the Sunday. If you are coming along to our Whānau Day, we encourage you to stay around for this hui! It will be a good opportunity to ask questions and find out about our Deed of Settlement and the voting process.

See you there, whānau!

Reminder: We all need to continue to follow safe hygiene protocols, including use of hand sanitiser and washing hands. If you are sick or have any flu symptoms, please stay home until you are recovered. Thank you for your support and understanding, whānau.
